Description
Reading Time Across Words and Numbers: An Exhibition of Visualization Projects by Heather Corcoran
October 1-October 29, Exhibition Space, Mary Idema Pew Library
We are awash in data. It is a social condition of our time. This exhibition is a response to that condition. Can data can slow down, become more meditative, and be bent toward poetry? Reading Time Across Words and Numbers is a body of work by designer and writer Heather Corcoran. The exhibition visualizes data to express the passing of time in nature, literary canons, and texts.
Heather Corcoran will visit campus Wednesday, October 11 to speak about her work. All are invited to the guest lecture, which will take place at 6pm in the Multipurpose Room of the Mary Idema Pew Library.
