I wouldn't be where I am today without GVSU. My professors, advisers, and peers were extraordinarily supportive and helpful. I also had an on-campus job on the Budgets & Finance team in the GVSU Finance Department.

I have so many fond memories from my time on campus, and I look back on my experience with pride. I'm so happy that I took a chance to travel all the way from Arizona to Michigan to spend my formative college years in West Michigan.

After graduation, I accepted an internship with the National Cherry Festival. Even though the internship was low pay right out of college, the experience was worth everything! I completed the eight month internship in July 2017.

I have been an advisor since 2015 for my sorority chapter Alpha Omicron Pi, participated as an alumni mentor, and recently joined the Young Alumni Counsel which I plan on being in as long as I am able to!

Since graduation, I have been working for Kalamazoo Public Schools as a 2nd and 4th grade teacher at Woodward Elementary. Currently, I am starting a new role as District Literacy Coach.
